Re: Spid pics.
For those "in the know"...
What would "special promotional" be referring to? And why would the paint be called out as White/Red Orange/White? They confused on the color Nicely optioned truck. My 67 had no options

Re: Spid pics.
same here. I personally have never seen one with the order # but I was told that they exist. I have a spid for a 71 that has milage maker or something like that. Remember the gas shortage in 71? Me neither . I was 3.

Re: Spid pics.
special promotion is the highlander package. white on top,red/orange and white in middle is my guess.
the last one on the left may be the plaid seat??

Re: Spid pics.
Then why wasn't it called "hugger orange"
Yeah, I'm proud of my crappy SPID According to a few members here, technically, nothing on my SPID was an option? The heater was technically standard. The blue vinyl trim just called out the interior color, it had the base model seat cover and metal door panels. Here's the original SPID, the "new" one isn't made up It also only had one sun visor. It had the blue interior, white exterior, black painted vent windows, 250 I-6, 3spd, painted bumper/grill trim, stepside.

Re: Spid pics.
Dang Redneck, I hope whoever makes up your new spid gives you a discount over the normal cost. Not a lot of effort has to be put forth to make it. jk

Re: Spid pics.
Red Orange was the base/solid color and a deluxe 2-tone has the accent color in two seperate areas, the top and between side mouldings. They never listed it as Deluxe Two-tone.

Re: Spid pics.
actually, blue vinyl trim IS an option.... that is the optional color over the base color of fawn. But you are right, the heater was technicly standard equipment in 67. Dealers were told to treat it as a no cost option in 67 though.
As for the OP... the order number .... I *think* that means it was ordered and to be delivered... special order. The only thing that makes me wonder, special promotional always means highlander... and I've never seen any other mention of highlander (as in the orange highlander option) |

Re: Spid pics.
copo would be special order with parts that are not normal options for that vehicle.
Examples are like odd ball colors, big engines not included on that line, special gear ratios, ect. I don't see anything saying houndstooth... is that what you have? |

Re: Spid pics.
If you get the "GM Restoration Package" wouldn't that tell you what all these items are?

Re: Spid pics.
I thought the orange highlander plaid just listed what color plaid was going to come with the special promotional package. sometimes listed as a color highlander plaid or sometimes a color plaid such as green plaid.

Re: Spid pics.
Some people have posted SPID's on here that were for US Government or other entities belonging to the public that referenced some order number for reference. Otherwise, I'd think anything that resembled an order number would be on the window sticker.
Anyone?
