Re: WTB ....79 Steering Column

I do. Are you looking for a tilt on non-tilt?

Re: WTB ....79 Steering Column

I have a non-tilt column shift that is black and in very good condition, i took it out of my 78 pickup last year to install a tilt. It is complete with keys and the wheel if you need that too. I can take some pics if you want. As for price, $50.00 sound reasonable?

I will be heading up to the Sea-Tac area in a few weeks and could arrange a meet, or I could ship it if you need it earlier.

Let me know when you can,

thanks,
Drew

Re: WTB ....79 Steering Column

50.00 sounds reasonable.Like I said it's for a fellow co-worker that did not know about this board..Pictures would be nice, and I am pretty sure that he did not care if it was tilt or not, just wanted a nice, decent column since the one on there now is pretty beat up.Also you said you pulled it out of a 78,I am assuming that it will fit his 79...Thanks again..I will let him know tomorrow that I have a lead on one..Thanks again and will be waiting on pictures.

Re: WTB ....79 Steering Column

Here are some pics of the column. I took the wheel off to remove the indicator lever and get a peek inside. It looks fine. I do have a steering Wheel if he wants it.

It will fit the 79 no problem.

Re: WTB ....79 Steering Column

Small world huh... He is actually who I will be heading up to see, as I just made a deal with him for one of his Blazers and I am bringing lots of goodies up for it.

As soon as I get a firm date, I will send it to you, and we can make some plans to meet.

Drew

Re: WTB ....79 Steering Column

It just so happens, I have one in my sons 75. It is still in the truck, but I have a tilt he wants me to install, so I guess I had better do that. I will have pics of it available by early next week.
