well i purchased an APC oil pressure gauge for 5 bucks and it came with the gauge and the sensor but i just haven't got around to installing the sending unit. Now my idea is if i just hooked the sensor wire from the gauge up to the idiot lights sensor, I know it wouldn't give me an accurate reading but would it make the gauge move when the oil pressure goes too low...it would be like the gauge is the idiot light...this is only for a short time but what do you guys think

Re: idea
it wont fin into the idiot light sensor space and the the sensor thread size is 1/8 and from what another member said that isn't the right thread size to fit into the spot by the oil filter
