I'm afraid that the owner of the land won't ever sell it and eventually it will be the doom of the Drive-in as we know it. At least for now, the land owner's not wanting to be the "bad guy" that caused the closing of the Drive-in......so it's useable for the time being I guess. I remember some really nice "cold weather" drive-in movies from years past and wouldn't trade those memories for anything....of course that was in the 80's. When springtime arrives, we take the kids out there, back the truck into a slot, put the speaker over the edge of the bed and start pulling out the pillows/blankets for padding. Then we're ready to enjoy the evening show. The best thing about it now, is that I have two Thermacell units that help to repell the mosquitos from ruining our time out. It's a fun time for our family! Greg |
