Shocks

Does anyone know why the rear shocks are placed 1 forward and 1 aft the rear end? I would like to move them both behind the rear, would this hurt anything?

Originally, GM believed this would help reduce the amount of hop in the rear of the trucks.

No reason you couldn't move them, but I've never done that, so I have no personal experiences to share with you.

Undoubtedly someone else will be able to help you with that.
