Re: Big hello and is this a decent deal
I say buy it provided it comes with a box of all the "stuff" taken off. It looks good, but if it's missing all the "small stuff", it's going to nickel and dime you to death.

Re: Big hello and is this a decent deal
He has everything needed to put it back together. Even has all the screws/bolts/nuts in soup cans that are labeled. If there is one thing I KNOW this guy knows about its motors, only thing Im worried about is if the motor is too "dirt track" for the road. I'm going to get all the info on the motor and you guys can tell me if its worth the 2500 that he wants for the engine alone.

Re: Big hello and is this a decent deal
Yep...the last one I bought with "everything to put it back together and the body is in great shape, scuff it and paint it" ended up costing me about $10,000.00 to finish!
Of course, a "$10,000.00 motor" has to be pretty spectacular. I'm thinking the motor sounds like a lot for the street. But, it kind of depends on what you want to do with the truck, daily driver or garage machine! It's a decent looking truck, but you're going to put a lot into finishing the truck and there are a lot of trucks out there in that price range. I would urge you to look around!

Re: Big hello and is this a decent deal
If your interested in the motor for $2500,, offer him the $3K, and I'll buy the truck body, including the bed and tailgate and all parts for the $500,, you can keep the motor..
That is a good price for what it is, just depends on what you are building for.. my next rig, will have PS/PB and AC, more of a cruiser, not a race truck..
