Just a thought but you might check craigslist in your area. I see several sets of 781 castings here for $250. I was trying to decide what to use on my 468 big block since I have two sets: 1063's and 049's. Will use the 049's until I find a REAL bargain...but then again...it is just a camper motor so all I want is torque.

I have a fresh set of 781's from the machine shop, new valve job ,new valve guides, mag'd & milled $450 + shipping.

BREEH, I have to come up to speed on my big block hardware as I complete this motor. You helped your neighbor build his 454 didn't you? I might need some assistance. It is going together out of my parts bin...almost.
