Conversion from drum to disk rear axle 67 chevy
I updated a 1967 chevy from drum braked to disk. in the rear of the truck it has coil springs, off the old axle it has a pin (stud) built into the casting from that a bar goes to the fram to help the truck be more firm. when i changed out the axle to disk there is nowhere for this bar to mount. not sure how about getting this fixed. fab up a plat that bolts to the diff cover (use half the bolts) then to the axle as a little extra support using a U clamp. I dont think there is going to be alot of stress on this, we are not going to be pulling anything or putting anything heavy in the back like a camper. I seen this done on an offroad show a long time ago and cant remember how they did it.
