I have been keeping a eye out for a parts truck what year will bolt right up to this frame without any mods some one told me 73 to 89 but i was thing it was 73 to 86... One other thing i know in the 80s the cab and front end chaged some what about the beds? I found a 77 with good cab and front end but the bed is bad and found a bed from a 84... Re: just picked up this truck Needs some help
The beds are basically the same except the filler neck locations, gas door lids and tailgate style. But they should all bolt on with no problem. You can buy all the parts to fix the bed you have, if you want to go that route.

Re: just picked up this truck Needs some help
As for years of this body style they are 73-87 and also 88-91 if you use blazer or suburban front fenders and doors. Your body style specific are from 73-80. The front fenders changed to the new style in 81. You can switch your front clip over to the newer fenders, it just takes a little more work. I have a 76c10 and I like the body lines on the 73-80 fenders. Don't get me wrong the front ends that are very sought after on the 91 suburbans do look good. Hope that helps.
