Re: could i get a frame measurement please?

The width between the frame rails is 27.5 inches so it won't fit that way. My short wheelbase truck is 18 inches (north to south) and the lwb version should be 26 inches in that direction. Does not look like it will fit.

I've been looking at these too. But what do you do with your spare? Is there a tank that fits on the frame like the 73-74s?

Re: could i get a frame measurement please?

27.5 is the min. inside dimensions though isn't it. Does it not taper out a bit?

Loose the spare tire mount.
Move the rear crossmember further back (or get one from ECE).
Shave the inside of the frame 1 5/8" on each side till you get 30" you need.

This is one option I am thinking for my '70, only I will be dropping in a Fuel Safe or ATL.

Spal's HellRaiser - shows something simular. Only they built the rear half.

Re: could i get a frame measurement please?

Good eye...the top tapers but the bottom, which is 27.5 inches, does not taper. The top is about 28 inches and tapers out to 28.5 inches at the back of a short stepside. Probably more on the LWB trucks.

Re: could i get a frame measurement please?

I looked at the tank CPP is offering.

They have sold lot of them since they started selling them.

I think you will be pleased with the tank; I don't no about CPP.

Without looking I think it's 19gal or so. That's what peaked my interest. I think it's the biggest so far commercialy availible for these trucks.

Let us know how you like it...
