exchanging cabs
I have a chance to get a complete cab for free. The cab is off a 75 and i want to put on my 79, to get away from smogging, I live in CALIFORNIA, where the smog law is always on your @@@!. Once I change cabs over,do I just let the fees go on the "79", as I would tell DMV that I have a 75 that is running and I want to get papers for it. I would tell them that I lost papers for the 75. Does this sound good???

Re: exchanging cabs
Being here in Cali also. The way DMV does there system is by (Vin/ title). So if you have a Vin for a 75 then you can register it. your truck is a 75 not a 79.

Re: exchanging cabs
RIGHT ON! the vin is on the cab on this year and not on the dash, if i'm not mistaking, right? So all I have to get is a new dash.
