I seen a small frame dually the other day and I can't get it out of my head. Does anyone have any pictures of this style of truck? I don't remember seeing any of them before. Are they very common? It had a small wood box on it, single drivers side mirror. Are they a 1 ton or 3/4 ton? It is as long as a long box 3/4 ton. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture. I will be back in that area next week to get a picture and see if they would like to part with it.

A friend of mine in Oregon is making them, taking early 90's duallies, shortening the frame behind the cab and dropping TF body work onto the frame. He has been doing 4WD models, 2WD wouldn't be that hard. He puts an 8' flatbed on them.

I was in the area today. I got some pic's but the owner wasn't in. For MN this is a clean truck for this age.

I found the guy that owns the truck. It's a 1956 with a froze motor. He's not sure if he wants to sell it yet. I asked him what he needed to get for it. He said that he would need $2,000 for it. I told him to give me a call when he figures it out when he wants to sell it. So many plans for the truck are floating in my head.

i missed out on a '55 3600 with no motor and lowered, looked f-ing mean!!!! still had the beam axle in front !!

Here are a couple of photos. He uses early 90's 4wd duallys and shortens the frames. Adds mounts for the cab and radiator support and modifies the firewall (he runs 454's in them). He also likes the alcoa wheel conversion. Bed is custom made 8' x 8', he builds custom trailers.

He is not online much. His business is usweld, google it and there is a link. He is located in central Oregon outside of Eugene. If you notice the truck is a bulldog commercial model, gets a little more front fender clearance and he has been finding trucks in pretty good condition, seems like the commercial ones over there are not as rusty for some reason. I'd love to have one, if I wasn't so far into my 59 4WD conversion I'd probably buy one from him and complete it. I think it would be cool to find an old Holmes wrecker setup and drop it on the back.

i am picking up a 2 ton next week, and you are right about the rust, no a spot of it!!! paint is shot but it is a super solid.

Those little 1 ton flatbeds like you showed MN rookie used to be pretty common although the ones with the longer beds were more common.

That cab on the later 4x chassis gives me ideas that I don't need right now as those 4x trucks are getting pretty cheap around here now.
