The Eaton has less splines (17 or 19 I believe) and the 14 bolt has 30 if I remember correctly.
Has anyone done this? I really need a locker for my eaton but i cant find anyone that sells them. Would it be cheaper to swap axles than to buy a detroit for a 14 bolt and new axle shafts?

Re: Locker for Eaton rear axle?

you'll have a hard time locating anything for an HO rear. I'd look into the avalibility of brakes and drums before dropping big coins on a locker.
You're better off sourcing a 14 bolt or some other rear.

Re: Locker for Eaton rear axle?

This truck doesnt run well in deep snow or mud with an open rear but i think i may need to swap it out for a 14 bolt.

Re: Locker for Eaton rear axle?

Detroit Locker makes one for it but be prepared to spend over $600.00
