The dirt is amazing...my truck was full. I must have had 5lbs in each side. No wonder they rot out the way they do.
I ve had good luck with my spotweld cutter. Ive only broken one blade and it was when I was really trying to hog out the welds on my control arm bumpstops. I oil it up well when drilling, too. Instead of buying cabsupprts, did you think of just welding up some out of plate? It crossed my mind looking at my truck once. Also drilling holes for better drainage.
