Braking on slight decline...popping sound
My 68 has a strange tendancy to make a soft popping sound from the front end as I am coming to a stop on a small decline like out of a drive way. It feels like it is the brakes or something. I have brand new front drums with Power Booster, tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, and shocks.
Any Ideas???

If your truck is automatic, could it be the trans downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear?

Sounds like your A-arm bushings are gone.

How do you like the booster? I really want to get one, after a new seat and the heater controls that I have already ordered. I would like to know if it is worth the money spent, how much difference it makes. Thanks - Ted.
