spare tire carrier
Does ne1 know what year trucks used the same spare tire carriers? I'm gonna hit the salvage yards tomorrow and was wondering if late '70's or early 80's would fit the '72. I know the later years went to the roll up cable method. This is for under the rear of the bed. TIA

I have been told that the 73 - 87 will work, but needs some trimming?
Not sure though, never tried it yet. |

If ne1 is interested, it appears 67-87 are the same. I found 2 at the salvage yard today. one was on a '71 the other on an '84. The '71's was bent so I took the '84's off and compared, looked the same. Got it home and installed, no probs.

Mine is off of an early 80's. Straightened it out and put a nice couple coats of paint on it. Just like new from the factory. Quick install too!
