rear end ratio ?
Is there a fairly accurate equation to figure rear end ratio if you know engine RPM and tire diameter?

gear ratio = (rpm x tire diameter) / (mph x 336)

With the 350/350 combo you could have a 3.07 or a 3.73.
gear ratio = RPM XTire diameter divided by MPH X 336

...but count the drive shaft revolutions during 2 full revolutions of 1 tire to get the approximate gear ratio.
and I like to use the calculators at Randy's ring and pinion. www.ring-pinion.com
