I'm looking for the bracket pictured in red, or dimensions so I can make one:

I think either Frank (PICKMUP) or Wes makes repo ones.

Ooops...did I miss something? Was there really a bracket there? I never saw one on the '67's and '68's that I pulled my seats out of!!!!

It stops the seat back on the center console from banging into the back of the cab.

not to hijack, but what is the purpose of the bracket, does it keep the seat from leaning back too far?

Re: WTB: Buddy Bucket Center Seat Bracket by Gas Tank

I've still got an original '68 that I pulled the seats out of and there was no bracket! I wonder if they fall out real easily?

UPDATE...just checked the GM Assembly manual...and it is in there. I trusted you...just have never seen one there or I would have pulled it when I pulled the seats. Learn something on this site every day!!!!! THANKS ROD!!!!

Re: WTB: Buddy Bucket Center Seat Bracket by Gas Tank

i've found a few over the years that were left under the carpet. they are there to keep the center backrest from leaning too far back and wearing the paint off the back of the cab. i have buddy buckets in my 72 super but haven't put the stop in place and the paint on the cab is worn off.

Re: WTB: Buddy Bucket Center Seat Bracket by Gas Tank

In my best Napoleon Dynamite voice..."Geez...I'm such an idiot!" Found one under the lip on the back of the cab...right where it is supposed to be!!! I was so excited about scoring those seats that I missed it completely. Now I have to find that last parts truck I sold to rescue that bracket...I think I know where it is...LOL!

If it wern't for all the mistakes I made...this would be a part-time job!
