are there any $1,000 air ride kits out there?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm new to the truck world.
Are there any bolt on kits closer to the $1,000 range? All the quotes I've been getting are closer to $2,000. I know most of you experienced air ride guys piece your kits together but I'm unfamilar with the exact parts I will need and which ones are quality.

The cheapest bag install would be bags and schraeder valves. Manual fill up, but you would be on bags, then you could piece your air mgmt system together from that point forward.
Have you contacted suidcidedoors.com? They have fairly cheap air bag setups.

Thanks for the reply, that sounds like the route to take. Can you elaborate a little more on what I will need besides bags and brackets?

Re: are there any $1,000 air ride kits out there?
I was looking on SD's website the other day. They've got a kit called "Starter Kit" or something like that for about $650 or so, don't remember exactly. It doesn't come with bags, but they are also running that special through the board here where you get 4 bags and the plates/cups you need for $250. Put them together and that's getting pretty dern close to $1000. Hope this helps.

I have that kit listed in another thread but seems there are a few components in it that might not make it a great kit to buy.

Yeah, I saw that after I made the post on this thread. Check out what I wrote there on the other thread, it will give you some ideas to make the kit better & stay within a close to $1,000 price range with a complete kit.

ebay too, I got a good deal on a used Viair comp. Check your local big rig shop or NAPA for the fittings. SD was cheaper for the air line than the big rig shop.

Lol, Im a tractor mechanic in a "big rig" shop and know all our vendors personally. I can get fittings and airline for cost.
