Front end conversion question

Does anyone know if you can take the disc brakes and front end parts from a mid 80's van and drop them in a '69 C10?

You could use the rotors and calipers i know but as far as the rest just get you some spindles.

I'm beyond amateur so bare with me... Are you saying I just need to change out the spindles in order to use the disc brakes from the van?

Re: Front end conversion question

The ball joints are different...you couldn't just change out the spindles. Also, the outer tie rod ends currently on your truck wouldn't work with the van spindles even if you swapped the ball joints. They make conversion tie rod ends, but I'm not sure if they have them for that van or not. Most folks swap out entire crossmembers. I swapped the control arms, tie rods, centerlink, etc., etc. from an 89 'burb. I know you can do this with 73-87 trucks and 73-91 'burbs but I'm not sure if the vans are the same as the trucks.
