Question 85 bench seat in a 67-72?

Will a bench seat out of an 85 pick up fit in a 67-72 truck or would you have to modify the bolt holes?? Are there any other years that would fit?

Mine is from the 80s I think and it is mounted with new holes. No big install tricks just holes that weren't there before. I found a stock seat that I want to redo and install in mine. I think I will get better leg room and sit a little lower. You can see the stock bolt location under the seat.

the 73 - 87 truck seat won't fit unless you install the newer seat onto the 678 - 72 tracks.
The 73 - 87 floor is not flat.
Gumby's seat shown above is out of an 88 - 98 truck

Re: 85 bench seat in a 67-72?

I used the back seat of an 86 quad cab. The front and back were very similar but the back one was in almost perfect condition. I'm thinking of redoing my original bench seat and had to put in a temporary seat.

I used the bottom brackets off a spare original seat that I had. Redrilled some holes on the new seat bottom and with a little bit of persusive engineering came out pretty good.

Re: 85 bench seat in a 67-72?

Put one in my old truck once, changed the rails and also had to cut the knob off the lever that tilts the back of the seat forward. The knob hit the gas tank.

like 69gumby said,... the 88-94 chevy/GMC truck seats will work fine. This is one I have on the board for sale.
