Re: Got the drop on my 67!!!
Without changing the spindles you can go 3" on just coils for the front. For the back you can go 6" on just coils.

Re: Got the drop on my 67!!!
Here you go guys!!!
GKsport67: 3/5 will look good but 22's might look a little out of place, personally I'd recommend 20's max and I myself would go with 18's which is what I will be doing. 22's look better on slammed vehicles I think and 3/5 definitely isn't slamming it.

Re: Got the drop on my 67!!!
I wouldn't do 22's with 4 wheel drum brakes. You would have to pray every time you hit the brake pedal.
Dylan, looks good. Now hurry up and get the front on so it will look even better!

Man, that is really turning out well. Sharp looking truck you got there.
The more I look at it, the more I like the altitude (and attitude) change on it. She's gonna be a sweet ride, thats for sure. Keep at 'er! -Sam.

Thanks for all the comments guys! I'll get more pictures once the front is done(probably going to be this coming up weekend). The wheels are the stock 15" steelies and the tires are P215/70-R15's

Re: Got the drop on my 67!!!
Yeah, they are skinny. That's why I've got these coming in the mail real soon! 15x8's and pretty snazzy looking on our trucks!

Re: Got the drop on my 67!!!
A buddy of mine has those on his '66 LWB, and they do fit the truck. Can't wait to see the pics posted w/ the new wheels.
Looks like I'm going to have to reconsider my idea of running the factory steelies... well maybe.

Re: Got the drop on my 67!!!
Yeah I love the look of them, we used to have a set of those on our old 1973 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, 15x8's with 33" tires. It was a beater but a mighty cool vehicle that's for sure. That's from back when I was seven years old, I've loved them ever since.

AND YOU ARE PROVING ME RIGHT , that look's GREAT ! I have thought about lowering my 67 and if I ever do it will be about like what you have done to your's cool truck ! are you gonna drive it some with the faded paint ? I drove mine around the fall I got it like that for 2 or 3 month's they are a lot of fun that way ,,, here is mine ,,,, keep up the great work ,,,

Re: Got the drop on my 67!!!
Great looking truck! Yeah, I plan on driving it that way for a while. Who knows when I'll have the money to do paint and the experience needed to do decent body work. Plus I don't have a welder or anything, so I gotta start stock piling tools before I start my bodywork. It's all engine and suspension for now. Hopefully mine'll look somewhere near as good as yours when it's done.
