the wife's new truck; REALLY!

67 SWB, traded a 94 civic I had $600 in. Came with a bed full of parts. Rockers and corners hacked over the old, so it needs the usual cab work, plus lots of bondo hiding who knows what, but now we have his and hers!

She really does want this one to ber hers, which means it gets painted first. Has a SBC and auto, but can't tell if motor is 305, 327, or 350. Supposedly it runs, so might out a new carb on and see. If not, I have a 350 and vortec heads I'll build for it.

Think I want to raise the front back up a bit (has drop spindles and coils and disc up front). Has power steering but manua brakes.

Re: the wife's new truck; REALLY!

She is insisting on gunmetal metallic with a dark pink pinstripe, and that it stays an automatic. She will also insist on "sparkly" chrome, which I see is wicked expensive, but once it's painted I'll want that too. i don't plan to do too much but put it back together. Main goal is reliability and drivability as it will likely be her daily.

i need to post a pic of the "carpeted" dash and panels; man on man; musical instruments sunk into the carpet on the glvoe box door!!!! with Turqouis piping!!!!

Re: the wife's new truck; REALLY!

she just likes shiny, and knows if she picked a 67 I'd work fast on it. i fact I'm waiting some warmer weather and some savings, then I'm ordering patch panels and some sheet stock.
