Rob, I ended up getting a good air dash, but still need the 2 patch panels I talked to you about before. I still need to look at that fender I have to see what kind of shape it is actually in.

Re: Parting 1971 Suburban (NM)

Rob, after staring at this pic the inner wheel tubs are NOT the same. The trucks are squared off at the top. Oh well, I was hopeful. That should make shipping cheaper at least

I do, however, would still like the stuff in red. A couple inches from the wheel lip ridge is fine. The turn signal patches only need to be a little bigger than the actual turn signal hole (I'm going to completely cut them out and replace it, not just patch over the hole, I see that as a place for water to sit.)

Let me know an approx price... go easy on me

I'm still working on cutting parts out. The bottom 6" of the wheel openings are not good at all.

Re: Parting 1971 Suburban (NM)

I'm finally about caught up with cutting out parts and shipping. If anyone else wants anything off of this suburban, please take a look and let me know. I plan on having this gone in a couple of weeks.

OzarkTim - I should have the posi-unit pulled this week.

67ChevyRedneck - I don't think these wheel openings are worth saving. Send me pictures of yours and I'll send you pictures of what is left, robhartley@aol.com. The cutouts for the marker lights won't be a problem, how many do you need?

Jamison - I've got your parts also. Are you going to wait I come back to FL this fall or do you want me to ship?

Carz1968 - Here's a picture of what I cut out for you. I've got it boxed and waiting.

No, I still have it (no-posi). I don't want to disable it, so I would require a donor rear to keep it as a roller. Y don't you just buy the whole chassis????? Or find me a perfect short wide bed floor and endgate to trade, .

Here's what's left. Let me know. Are you still looking for a frame? There's a guy that will be pulling an empty trailer to Phoenix.

Jesse, I haven't forgot about you, . I've got the pieces cut out of the side. I also have some pictures of the fender lips I want you to look at to see if they will work for you. I'll post them later.

If I've missed someone elses question, please repost or send me a PM. This thing will be gone this weekend, so let me know ASAP.

Re: Parting 1971 Suburban (NM)

Looks like you have pretty much dissected the whole thing. Just wanted to make sure you didn't forget about the two patches I need.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...7&postcount=54

Also, did you end up selling the rearend and what is the gear ratio? I need a posi for my truck but also want to stick with gears low enough to pull something. If I remember that one has 3.07's.

Thanx again and looking forward to seeing you in Aug.

Re: Parting 1971 Suburban (NM)

Honestly glad to hear you sold it. I will start a real search for what I am going to do with the rearend when I can actually work on my truck. Between my wife in school and my daughter, I have to sneak out to ever work on my truck. LOL

Re: Parting 1971 Suburban (NM)

I don't have a picture as the part is missing on my truck. I don't really no what it looks like, but I can explain the problem. My back window hatch does not lock down onto the tailgate. I have the strike part that is attached to the top window hatch, but I don't have the actual lock mechinism that sits down in the the tailgate. I think it is a combination part that works with the push bottom on the exterior to unlock the top hatch and unlatch the tailgate also. Any help?
