Re: Lowering Questions

I'm sorry for your loss.

2-1/2" dropped spindles(requiring disk brakes) and 2" lowering springs would put the front 4-1/2" lower.

The rear might be a little trickier than just simple lowering blocks & coils with a C-notch, because don't the GMC's have leaf springs?

Re: Lowering Questions

Yep, GMC's are leaf springs in the generation.

Re: Lowering Questions

With what you're planning.... I'd just run a nice bag setup.

Just my opinion...

Whats up slammed I got my 65 swb c10 from my uncle who passed away 6 years ago so this rings a bell to me. I have lowerd mine and im in the process of dropping it more. This is were you have a lot of options, Im going on the cheap(relativley speaking) with dropped spindles and springs. The 5 /7 drop you want that should be easy although you might have to go a little lower up front (1/2 inch). Classic performance or cpp sells 2 1/2 inch drop spindles with a 3 inch spring that would be 5 1/2 front and use 5 inch rear springs with 2 inch lowering blocks there you go

http://www.earlyclassic.com/home.aspx

heres a good place to get upgraded suspension parts for our trucks, they sell a kit for lowering it the way you want but if you have leaf springs out back then i dont think the kit will work out back
