A/C compressor question
A/C compressor is froze up. I was wondering if theres an upgrade or if I should just go with the 1972 model. Im not in to the keep it original - but like to get one thats not a HP hog.

Re: A/C compressor question
There are newer styles that are lighter in weight & take less power, but you would have to change brackets & all. The old original A-6 comp. are very rugged & used ones are plentiful & cheap. They are usually just as good as a reman. Be sure to flush the system before you replace it. The metal particles with damage the new one. Is the comp. its self froze up or is it just the clutch brg.? The clutch brg can be replace without pulling the comp. with a couple of special tools.

Re: A/C compressor question
Which part or parts dont turn ? the hub on the end or the pulley that the belt goes on.
