Re: anodize help

The only thing I've ever heard of being annodized is aluminum. But I could be wrong.

Re: anodize help

you can't annodize steel. Best thing to do is powdercoat over the chrome

Hook up with someone in the Low rider community. Ive got a few buddys that have that ur looking for. Its really Black Chrome its black but you still get that chrome look to it. Kind of like candy paint its got that deep look. Ive seen it in Hydraulic pumps, looks nice!

Re: anodize help

They have an anodize look process in powdercoating now. I saw it at the powdercoaters a couple of weeks back. Looks real! Its way tougher than anodizing as well. Anodizing is ONLY for bare aluminum...period. It is beutiful, but some forms will easily fade with sun and weather (dont ask how I know). If you do really want anodizing, make sure its HARD anodize, not just bright dip.
Id go with powdercoat,... way tougher, and can be put on steel or aluminum.. or magnesium or any alloy for that matter.

OH yeah, black chrome will be waayyy expensive If you can find someone to do it. It would look nice though.
