What kind of compressor are you running?

I've been doing some research, and it seems that Viairs are not rebuildable, is that correct? AZ had their problems a few years back, and suicide doors is sold out or quit selling them. I'm not going to do a engine driven or expensive Oasis. So what other choices are there?

Re: What kind of compressor are you running?

You can buy everything needed to rebuild a ViAir. They prefer to do it for you, but you can actually buy all the parts needed. I've never had a ViAir compressor that ever needed a rebuild kit either.

Air Zenith I will never use again. I had one on my truck, and it left my stranded in Oregon 12 hours from home. Their customer service was some of the worst I have come across so far, and for that I will not support them again. Even if they come out with the world's greatest compressor that hundreds of people stand behind.

Your other choices would be a Firestone or Thomas compressor. Both small, quiet and a bit slow. But I have never really heard of them failing either.

Re: What kind of compressor are you running?

Yeah we sell and install 50-1 480s over any other. Got them on 3 of our own bagged rides. And yes we have the 480 rebuild pieces in stock. You can buy what you need, not a whole kit. Although we use ours heavily and have had no use to do so, but others obviously have.
