700r4 finally installed & running

Well it took a few months but my two boys(16 & 17 yrs old) and I finally finished swapping the 4 speed for the 700r4. Nice and loud with the exhaust leak but ran great. It feels good to drive it again. I like that you can adjust it with the Bowtie Overdrives kit.

TX Firefighter- you were right on with the 94ish dipstick, flywheel cover with 4 holes fits perfectly - $10 bucks each

Just need a speedo cable (cable was about 2 inches short) and have the exhaust welded up. The yard up the street said they had one that might fit out of a 96 for $15.

Wanted to say thanks for everyone's advice and parts

I can put it each gear, but it doesn't line up. Hope they come out with an overdrive indicator for non-tilts.
