Re: anyone used these flip kits?

Do yourself a favor and just buy new perches and weld them on. The perches are probably cheaper and its the only way to do a flip.

I used a flip kit and ended up ripping my old perches off when I hooked up real well once. The rearend rotated up and screwed up my driveshaft and u-joints.

Bigarmzz, I bought a pair of perches from Summit for about $15 shipped to my door. That was cheaper than at the local trailer place. Then you buy your shackles, which are pretty cheap, and "voila" you have the components you need without spending big bucks!

Re: anyone used these flip kits?

driveway dreams, do you remember what perches you used? I was just curious and started searching and found these: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

were the ones you used different from them?

Re: anyone used these flip kits?

I used that same one in the link just a few weeks ago. Then last week I took it to the track and messed up a u-joint and snapped the driveshaft...not sure if it was related to the flip kit though.
I would have gone with new perches, but it seemed like it would've been a lot of hassle to do them right...atleast for a newbie like me.
