Voltmeter Hook Up
In my 69 I have a aftermaket voltmeter that is not hooked up to anything.
Does anyone know what the hook up is. I assume a wire goes from the meter to somehwere. It has HEI ignition to a 307 motor Apprviate any help here Thanks 69 Shortbed 307 with 350 trans |

it should have a wire that goes to the ignition side that will read votes when the switch is on. and a positive and ground for the light.

Run a + wire to key on, and ground.
The terminals should be marked + & - on the gauge.

On the back of the meter there are 3 studs with nuts on them.
No markings of + or - anywhere. There is a light bulb socket top center. The studs on the left and right appear to be just for the bracket holding the meter into the chrome housing, but not sure Stll stumped on this one. |

Well I went to the local auto zone and looked at a new one and found that one wire goes to ground and one to the fuse panel
