Over heating solved
So for a little over an hour i would let it cool down and then start it up and rev the heck out of it putting that water pump to work until it reached 220 after doing that for about seven times it just leveled it self out. The radiator finally lowered and all systems are a go. And i owe all to you guys for helping me in a time of need. Hail chevy forums

Right or wrong, FWIW, before I install a thermostat, I drill 4, or so, 1/8" holes in the flange on the thermostat.
That way, if I have air in the engine it has some way to get out. The temp sender may be seeing high water temperatures, but if there is an air lock at the thermostat, it may not be hot enough to open. Just li'l ol' redneck me. LJ

I always either drill a small hole in the thermostat flange or by a little higher dollar one that has the hole already in it. Depends on what was available at the time
