Here's a little how to...

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=90510

Also, if you scroll up to the top of the page to the Google search box, click on the circle in front of "67-72chevytrucks.com" and type "install windshield" in the box (without the quotes) you will find a lot of posts about windshield installation.

Yes, the FAQ will help you. Take your time use at least two to do the install. And a new good quality seal. If you are installing the trim type slightly more difficult. Good Luck.

A good quality seal is really important. We only use "Precision" brand rubber. We sell glass for most all old vehicles but I know me and I pay a glass company right nest to us to put it in. One hint is to never Hit the glass with a clinched fist Always use the palm of your hand if bumping the glass. don't be shy on using the lubricant.

If you want to do it right it takes 6 board members. One inside the cab to pull the cord. Two outside the cab to push the window in tight. Two to supervise and let em know if they are doing it correctly. And one standing on top of a tractor to document the whole thing. =) LOL

Thank you. We are too cheep to use the trim. We are going for a drivable work truck look. Not a show truck. We will try that later.

Re: Can a front windshield be installed easy

I tried it myself but only had me and my wife. We couldn't get it done. I called the glass place and they wanted $35 to install my windshield. I had my truck at their shop five minutes after I hung up.

LMAO I guess you guys havent seen this picture?

In reality, it was a work party for board member Brad (real name Brad) and his truck. So there was a lot of grinding and stuff going on...hence the dust mask =)
