Spring cleaning...back to work! (Longhorn update)
Well, spring has sprung...at least here in Cen Ohio it finally has. Gonna be 70 degrees today, already in the mid 60's here.that means one thing....it's warm enough to SPRAY PAINT!!!
I still don't know why you like this bumper Josh Since chrome costs more than the total price of BOTH my trucks...the longhorn will be wearing white trim for a while. (quite a while) I been getting some work done on the one ton...but nothing glamoruous. Got the int. put together...repositioned the cros member, altered the TH350 mount (I didn't realize Pontiac had a differant mount than Chevys). The drive shaft will be getting new U-joints and Carrier bearing probably Mondy night... With any luck, I'll be getting the front clips swapped out this week, might have to wait till next saturday though. Once that is done, I can start plumbing it and put the harness in and all that good crap. |

The only downside to all of that chrome...the cost of re-doing it when it finally goes.

I have no idea what kind it is, the sticker was 1/2 missing when i got the truck, and I just peeled it the rest of the way the first time I hit it with the hose.
I actually think it was a dealer installed deal. The bolts and welds actually looked 30 years old, and it did have a Kansas dealer's name on it... (it is a Kansas truck) huge bummer bout the grill...after it dried, I wet to put a clear coat on it....wrong kind of clear. Now the whole thing has a wrinkle finish. Guess I need more sand paper now. |

Ouch, that sucks about the grille...
Speaking of the grille, I just found a pic that proves my dad wrong once and for all about him thinking that my grille was once painted like a '71/'72 instead of full chrome...it's from about '85, when he had just bought a '73 Porsche 911 and was tearing into it. Just enough of the grille of my truck is in the shot, and '85 was definitely before he rechromed it...and it's all chrome.
