Suburban Question

I was looking at the Truck Trader yesterday.
There was a 72 4x4 Suburban listed as a 4 door.
Was there 4 door Suburbans from the factory in 72?
If so how rare? What percentage 3 door VS 4 door?
Please teach me!

Darren

"JIMMY XL?"...J/K

I've seen a red/orange '69 to '72 GMC suburban driving around Tucson with a 4th door. I understand these were not factory, but there were some dealers who would fabricate Crew cabs and 4-door subs for industrial users -- oil-fields, railroads, military etc. rara avis. Most likely a typo.

Talking

I have seen pictures where the owners put the door lines in and a door handle but not actually a functioning door. You may want to look at it up close.

There is an extended one that used to run around here with 3 doors down each side. It was looooong. I wouldn't want to have to parallel park it. They did a nice job though. It looked legit.
