Recycling articles has become so commonplace in mags that it is unbelievable.I read several mags a month and it seems like all of them do it.I realize that the readers want info on stuff but for those of us that read several it is really dissapointing to find another article that I've already read instead of a photo spread on a 67-72 Chevy.I read
1) Classic Trucks
2) Hot Rod
3)Custom Classic Trucks
4)Super Chevy
5)Rod & Custom
6)Chevy High Performance
7)Custom Rodder
8)Super Rod
9)Street Rodder
10)Car Craft
11)Southern Rodder
I have subscriptions to these and Mechanics Illustrated and pick up special Chevelle,Camaro,Nova, and truck publications as I find them

I think an outfit called Primedia bought a lot of these publications from the old names (Petersen for example) and they do share some of the stories for the different magazines. Less input cost for each issue I guess!

That's the problem with a monopoly....which is why they were sued (Primedia).

One of the board members was the first to mention that Primedia had bought eMap/Petersen......almost a year before you saw the new editions. His wife worked for Primedia (previously McMullen/Argus, I believe).

I (for one) would like to see SOMEONE take ALL of the articles that have been published in the past 10 years, about the 67-72's, cull the redundent ones, and publish a nice, thick, hardbound book, complete with "How-to's", modifications, and feature some trucks, from stock as a stove to wild.

I think that there is a market for such a publication. Just think about all of them that have been done on the Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, T-Bird, etc. There is a market.

Great story!! I know the mags run the same storys sometimes but I read em' anyway. Thats like April's Car Craft story on Paintin' at Home, same writer same story in 3 other issues in the last 3 yrs. But each one is different so i got a different view. Hey Deland try Chevy Rumble good readin' and alot of numbers on stuff.

I just got it today. Check out this console pic. The dash around the radio and heater controls is real smooth not recessed. The bezel has 4 knobs instead of 3 , the dash has the button on the upper left instead of the top center, the door panels are real padded, the console looks really cool!
