External regulater elimination ?

I have searched the threads on this. I have found lots of stuff on adding the jumpers to the external regulator plug in. I have read that there was an article in a magazine about removing the external regulater and wires. I can probably trace the wires back and join the wires that are jumpered and remove the regulater. Has anyone eliminated the plug or does someone have the magazine article on this. Thanks

I left the plug and found a conversion harness for 20 bucks. If interested, PM me and I will send you the URL.
