Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Finally signed up as I have been lurking for quite a while. Always been fond of 88-98's but love other years as well.
My wife and I ordered our '98 stepside on the very last day you could order back in '98. For some reason GM wouldn't put a 350 in the truck due to CAFE rules. They even sent a letter to the dealer stating why, and I still have it. It's got a 305, AC, automatic, 3:42's and little else. Roll up windows and manual door locks. We had planned to use it as an everyday vehicle hence the rain drip guards on the side windows, body side mouldings and the rear lid. Falling in love with the truck kept us from using it everyday. It's only got 33K miles on it and has never seen salt. We have every single piece of paperwork and the original brochure. The bed doesn't have a scratch. It's got the Hotchkis TVS system which lowers it 2/4. Cragar s/s mags, custom bent cat-back, hood pins and a chrome cup tach on the dash too for a traditional look. We kept the original wheels and springs. My everyday driver is an '01 set up similarly. I love that one too.... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
