Stroker Motor (def.)
A motor that has greater than stock displacement due to an increase in the factory crank throw. An increase in crank throw increases stroke (the difference between the piston's top dead center and bottom dead center position). Example. 350cid block + 400cid crank = 383 stroker. plus any head/block, mods and piston style (dished or domed) to provide clearances or change compression. |

If you're looking for more info, check out this book "How to Build Big Inch Chevy Small Blocks" by Graham Hansen. It's all about building stroker SBCs. There's a lot of info on each of the main engine components. I'm reading it now and learning a bunch of stuff.
