I may have a good chrome front bumper for you that I took off my stepside. I will see if Calvin still has it. I should be going down there soon.

Sounds GREAT, let me know!

Stupid question but......Are all the frames the same? Specifically from the C10-C20 aspect? I know the suspensions are different but what about the bare frame?

Frames are the same. I had a C10 and C20 frames sitting side by side out here and the only thing different was the suspension.

I am not 100% sure but I think the frames are the same. I will call Calvin later today.

Thanks caminokid, I thought so. Couldn't imagine GM using different ones I just wanted to be sure.

Re: Traded Trucks To Fast

The C20 has extra bracing where the suspension is in the rear I know. I just cut that section out of a c20. But that does not affect it regarding anything else.

Re: Traded Trucks To Fast

I would like to keep the coil spring rear. Do the C20's have coils? The reason I'm asking is I found a C20 frame near me for cheap and would like to consider using it. I just haven't been around that many C20's in our year trucks.

C-20's could be had either way but I think most of them had coils.

LOL! That is a great idea if Scott wasn't an honest guy. I've had lots of the newer 6.0's in trucks here at work and have seriously considered pulling one, just trying to figure out a way to convince the customer to buy a new one and why it came up missing. "Oh, by the way, you need a new computer, harness, etc."...

Re: Traded Trucks To Fast

I'm getting more and more frustrated and see that this project is gonna take longer and longer to do. I was switching the drivers door out with one I got from Bobbo and kinda peeked behind the drivers fender at the front cab corner and there was rust. I then started taking miscellanious stuff apart that I knew I would have to replace later on like the glove box and defrost ducts and guess what...more rust on the inner cowl. The area around the upper part of the windshield is shot too. I'm beginning to think this truck was parked in the ocean for a few years. It looks like I'm gonna need a cab. Thing is I'm poor as dirt right now and work two jobs just to put food on the table. I haven't even had time to mow my whole yard this year between both jobs and all the rain. Man, am I a whiner or what? It's geting dark now but I will post pics of the rust tomorrow, not like you all have never seen rust before!
