Re: carb.turbo 350 linkage.black belts
Forever, I don't really need the Edelbrock 1406 but if you'd sell it for $100 I'd swap it for my grungy carb and also you wouldn't have to ship! Let me know.

Re: carb.turbo 350 linkage.black belts
Yes I would like to have the belts but I have also been in this HOBBY long enough to know what a fair price for used seat belts is; with that said I will move on. Thanks for your time. .....beater

Re: carb.turbo 350 linkage.black belts
To determine if the carb is big enough, just do a little math. You have a 396 that probably tops out around 6000 rpm. There are 1728 cubic inches per cubic foot. You find how many cubic feet the engine will draw by multiplying 396 x 3000 and divide by 1728. You use 3000 because the engine draws air into the cylinders every other rotation. That gives you 687.5 cfm. Edelbrock recommends about 120-150% oversizing the carb, so that would mean a carb cfm rating of 825-1031 cfm. Of course, if you never exceed say 5000 rpm, the numbers come down. Hope this helps.
