URGENT - New exhaust problems..

So this may be a stupid question, but I need help and I need it bad (Have to move the truck tomorrow)

I bought a new exhaust system for the truck, as the old one has fallen apart. It's got 2.25 inch pipes. The problem is that the new flanges that came with the system won't fit over the manifold bolt holes because they're too far apart. And the old flanges won't fit over the new pipes (I'm assuming the old pipes were 2 inches)

My question is this: 1 - Do auto parts stores sell exhaust flanges? If so, will they have one that will fit the manifold bolts but still fit around my pipes? 2- Is there any harm in just griding out the bolt holes of the new flanges so that they fit over the manifold bolts and then just attaching the new pipes that way?

Thanks in advance for your help. I never imagined it would be this difficult to change out the exhaust...

No harm in grinding the flange as long as it stays attached to the manifold tight and does its job.

If I didn't have to get her out of the driveway tomorrow, and I had a couple hundred $$ to spend, she would be getting headers...

Unfortunately, that's just not my situation right now

Man doing this without my die grinder sucks. Having to use a dremel and it's slow going...

Old flange, acquire coupling sleeve / reducer, that goes from the 2 inch to the 2.25. The 2.25 should be labled ID for inner diameter which will fit over your 2.25 OD (Outer Diameter) pipe.
