I just registered the GMC and it was about 45 bucks...not too bad.
Then i asked about the one ton...YOUCH! 75 frikken dollars!!!
How do these numbers compair to your state's fees?

Andy I paid 87 for the C20 , most of it was the weight charge for Commercial plates , I think 36-39 was the actual reg.fee.

$24 for the suburban and blazer,$158.00 for the 3/4 ton 4x4van.I think the 1/2 ton was $54.Go PA!

I did mine in the collector vehicle status for $33.50

One time fee, don't have to license it every year......

Everyday use would still be about $30.00 per year.....................

Calif wanted $145 a year and then I moved to Oregon.. Yeah baby! $30 for 2 years! and to top that, nothing here is smoged. Makes me wonder why all the other states are ripping everyone off.

If I remember right when I regestered the 3/4 ton I had to transfer the title, pay sales tax, and do the onetime deal on the tags it was aroung $50-$60....

Normally in the UK it would cost about $220 annual registration for any car/light truck over 1000cc. Because my truck was made prior to the end of January 1973 I get it free as a historic vehicle. Still costs me about $468 for insurance each year (restricted to 7500 miles/year as a classic policy and required by law) and about $50 for the annual inspection. You have to produce the insurance and test certificates to be able to get your license disk.

The UK is one of the most expensive places to run a car and thats without the cost of gas.

AZ is cheap. Mine was $20ish last time around, I think...maybe less...my girlfriend just registered her '79 280ZX, including a new plate it was $19.50.

You don't really want to know about Mississippi tags. they are murder for the average person. Mine has Antique tags (no restrictition on driving). MY wife's Bonneville runs about $600 a year. Some folks pay close to $2000. based here on assessed value. Gte's less as it gets older. truck are cheaper than cars because of commerical aspects. I know they whooped and hollered a few years ago, when the SUVs were removed from the truck list and added to the passenger vechicle side which incresed the tags about 25-30%.

One of those things you live with. At least our other taxes are low.

Here it is about 48. You can get a vintage plate if its over 30 years old. The plate has a one time fee but you can only drive it on a limited basis, not full time. Fee for 1/2 ton and less is $5 and over 1/2 is $10. If you need to drive truck again full time you can just go back and pay the regular fees.

my tags expire in nine days and will be a whopping... $35.00. not too shabby, but I won't be driving it for a while (like a year or so), so I'm wondering, should I even get them?
