Question Noob question on buckets and consoles

Hi

Just came across this site last night while surfin. Seems like a cool and helpful site. I have a '70 shortbed Chevy and I have a few plans for it down the road when I can save a few bucks. I want to start by removing the bench and putting in a set of low-back buckets and a nice center console w/ a floor shifter.

There are a few good salvage yards around here. I was wondering what cars/trucks should I look for to find a nice set of buckets? Also, what kind of console will fit nicely? Late model Suburban? Avalanche? Just lookin for some ideas. Hope ya'll can help.

I already read the latest "buckets and consoles" thread. There are some nice pics in there. I just need to know what kind of donors to look for at the yard. Thanks.

73-91 Blazer & Suburban work and so do the newer onesBut,getting into the`99-up stuff they get bulkier and start cramping the cab space.

Thanks Special K. I'm assuming you're talkin about the consoles. Where do the low buckets come from? I'm assuming old cars.
