BIG BOYS -- Let's See Some 3/4 Ton & 1 ton Projects

Fellas,

Are you building something other than a 1/2 ton SWB Chevy Truck? I'm in the early stages of just such a build ('69 LWB 3/4 ton C20), and I'm hell bent on keeping it true to what it is -- 8 lugs and all. I'm especially interested in the 2WD projects out there.

Post some pics and some stories!

Thanks

Here's my '70 - someday I'll get back into working on it, a lot more that I want to do, and the paint is coming off fast (not by design). I have been spending more time getting my '67 to where I want it to be for now.

Sorry mines a girl, (I personally never drive male vehicles)
She had the heavy duty leaves in the back we took about 5 out of each side and I cut a coil out of the front springs, my inner farmkid loves the dana 60 and the 4 speed, but she just sat too high for a 2wd truck IMO.

Thumbs up Re: BIG BOYS -- Let's See Some 3/4 Ton & 1 ton Projects

Nice truck 69GMCLonghorn, that's what I wanted to do to my tailgate, but my painter wanted to get real deep into my wallet. Thanx 72BlckButy. It's took 16 years to get it to that condition. Kids, bills, emergencies.... Now, I have to take the nose off of it to align the cab. If it ain't one thing, it's another. Thank you myoldchevytruck. I believe those are Dodge buddy buckets? Bought them at the last swap meet here in Springfield. Had them recovered to match the rest of the interior.

69GMCLonghorn, I dig the white cab, I bought the paint to do mine (a whole gallon of Fleet white) but decided against it at the last minute due to time constraints, I like a white cab on these year trucks....

I see you are in Sweden. We were in Stockholm last September. I was really surprised at the number of classic American cars roaming around Gamla Stan. I saw an older Dodge pick up, a convertible Cadillac, a couple of 50's era Chevy's (cars)... Good to see!

Hope you had a nice wisit here. Yes there are actually a lot of classic American vehicles on the streets in the summer. Many people really drives them in the summer but in the winter most of them rest in the garages.

No projects here. But,i`m a diehard 8-lugger from way back. The only think I`ve had that wasn`t has been a shortbed or a K/5.The whole time I owned my K/5s I wanted 8-lugs under them, too.Real trucks have 8-lugs.I like shortbeds, but they are my car*.

*Well,my 4wds get 8-lug,too.
