Wheel stud replacement

I must have nicked a wheel stud on the rear during my build. I've never replaced one. How is it done?

Re: Wheel stud replacement

You just hammer the old one out.

To install the new one, you can insert it from the back, install a stack of flat washers on the front, and turn a lug nut around backwards and use an impact to pull it in.

I have done it many times that way, but the proper way is to use a shop press to press it in place. I bought a cheap Chinese press last year and will never go back. It's invaluable for stuff like this.

Thanks TX. I figured should ask first. I was concerned about doing wheel bearing damage. I guess a little PB blaster before hand wouldn't hurt either.
