To use your fenders would take a lot of body work and massaging. If you're just planning on "bolting on" parts, then you'll have to have the fenders as well..... Good luck and shoot us some pics of the swap......................Jerry

Yeah, the only thing you can keep from the cab forward is the cowl cover and the inner fenders. The hood, the fenders, grill and even the hood latch and the inner grill support and rock deflecter under the grill are diffrent. You can get a LMC Truck catalog for free from their web site and it has exploded views of everything and you can get a good look. You can even look at the on like catalog and get a pretty good look at how they are diffrent. This is a very common swap and easy (bolts right on) if you have all the right parts. If you can get a rust free (or very little rust) whole front clip from a salvage yard that is the way to go. It is about 9 bolts and the whole thing comes off (be sure to have a buddy or 3 to help). Then just swap them out. I did the same thing. Mine is a 1970 changed to a 67. The 67 and 68 are exactly the same except the 67 does not have the side marker lights. Good luck with the build!!! VV

Re: '68 front clip swap?
Also the correct front body mounts are thinner for the 67-68 by about 3/8" but to my knowledge they are not reproduced. So save the stock ones or lower the front mounts accordingly.
