McGaughy's parts

Hey guys does anybody know anything about McGaughy's brake systems and if they are good quality. I have seen the name in truck magazines and such, but have not heard anyone say anything about their stuff.

I'm the kind of guy that researches before he opens his wallet for stuff like this, and wondered if you all knew anything.

Thanks,

Re: McGaughy's parts

I bought there spindels and brake kit. This was when they would sell direct to retail.
I have not installed it, but they look well made.
The only thing that I did not like is that the spindles were NOT drilled for dust shields. Easy to fix but you shouldnt have to do it.
All in all they are good my 2 cents

Re: McGaughy's parts

I put them on my 66 frame. No real problems other than had to change my outer tie rod. I will post pictures and the part number tomarrow. Hopefully I can find the pictures.

Re: McGaughy's parts

I got one of the disc conversions with the drop spindles and was happy with it - seemed like good quality to me and came with everything need down to the cotter pins for installation.
