I cant tell from the shadows, but is your bumper black?

I would say shiny, unless you have black in your grill or your bumper..

Re: Wich looks better? I can't decide!

Yes the bumper is black, and the grille is brand new with some nice shinny black just like it came in 71! I polished one bezel up and covered the other one in electrical tape to make it black so I could get opinions. If i do go black that means roughing up my chrome so they hold paint so there wont be any going back. Maybe I should paint these black and buy some new ones and change them whenever I feel like changing looks I am kinda leaning towards the black myself.

Re: Wich looks better? I can't decide!

Powdercoat will probably work much better than paint, never really thought of that. Maybe cause there is no place around here to do it. I will have to pm txfirefighter and see what he would charge. If thats the way I go anyways.

Not to sound like a girl, but you shouldn't mix black and brown. Go for the chrome

Re: Wich looks better? I can't decide!

The brown in temporary. Eventual paint plans are either metalic silver with black stipes or just plain ol jet black.

This Trego Golden Eagle Alum thinks you should stay chrome (you can always paint them later if you change your mind, but it is MUCH tougher to go back to chrome).

Re: Wich looks better? I can't decide!

Get a spare set and have them powdercoated black and have the best of both worlds. You then can change the personality of the truck with a few screws.

Re: Wich looks better? I can't decide!

If you paint it, blast it, or the paint will most likely FAIL.

I like the shinnny stuff, but thats just for today (most likely).
