Crossmember diffrence

What is the diffrence between the 63-72 and the 73-87 front crossmember? I have a guy that wants to buy a 73-87, but mine is a 64.

Re: Crossmember diffrence

If you're talking about just the front suspension crossmember, there isn't much difference. One thing that I can think of is that the holes for the lower control arm shaft U-bolts are smaller, and there are tabs for the brake hoses on the early models. Other than that they are the same as far as I know.

Re: Crossmember diffrence

That's what I was thinking I have a 64 front crossmember, and theres a guy looking for a 73-87. I think just because he wanted to swap to disc brakes. not sure though.

Re: Crossmember diffrence

The control arm bushings are solid. The brake hose goes on the front on the 73+ set-up. Didnt know if you were talking about all the associated pieces, too.
